Confused Bengali’s Man

By: ABH

Normally, every Saturday and Sunday, I will play badminton with now an 18 year boy at TD badminton court. We play single of 4 sets. Although my age already surpassed 50’s, I always beat him 4-0 or 3-1. When finished, I would go to RNKK in Ampang to have breakfast.

However, that day I had not gone to RNKK. Actually, on that fine morning of 15.12.2012, I went to my apartment, MV in Ampang.

After paying my maintenance fees, I had breakfast at MV’s food court. There, I noticed two men were chatting, a Bengali and a Chinese. Ten minutes later, the Chinese left. I began to look at the Indian man, still handsome although age already reached 64 years as he told me then.

Later, I started to chat with him began with the country’s current affairs. He said that the present government should be changed to PR. The present government already too long ruled the country and prone to many weaknesses such as cronyism, corruption and too many to mention. Yes, I was totally agreed with him, the present corrupted government should be changed. We tried PR for a term, why not?

He admitted that he only admired Hishamuddin Tun Hussein.

“Why?” I asked.

He said he was a soft spoken leader and involved no scandal. Mr. Prem confessed that he indirectly got assistance from him on few contracts and projects. Okayed, we stopped there for the current affairs. Actually, I do not admire Hishamuddin at all.

He then took his hand phone looked for photos.

“You want to see my children’s photos?” he said.

“No problem,” I said.

“You can see, all my daughters and sons, all of them are beautiful and handsome,” he added.

After looking, “Yeah,” I confirmed.

“My wife (the first) now is in Canada looking after our grandson. She earns about RM2,500 per month. She had asked me to migrate to Canada. But I don’t want,” he said.

“Why? Ooops may I know your name, please?” I requested.

“Call me Prem,” he said.

“Your name is similar to a Hindustani actor Prem Nash!” He smiled widely.

He then continued with his story. He refused to migrate to Canada because life there was limited of which after 7 pm, all people mostly started to stay at home, except those prefer to go to pubs. Unlike Malaysia, on certain parts of the country, life is active even up to 24 hours.

Actually he had married twice. The second wife was really beautiful, he said. From her he got 2 sons and 2 daughters, all above 20’s. He regretted that almost his assets had been named after the second wife. Now, he only owns a small business, a security company. The night before he had asked about RM100 from his eldest son, a pilot who earns RM4,500 per month, but his request was rejected. His face showed pale.

About his second wife (already divorced), he hated the wild life that his ex-wife gone through with the children. The daughters are easily to bring back boyfriends home and slept. He couldn’t do anything. The boyfriends are changing, Indian, Chinese, even Malays. When reached home, they always drunkard.

The eldest son actually already became a Muslim and married to a Malay lady. But the lady never does what Islam wants in their life. Even his female parents-in-law, always call him as ‘darling’ whenever sms him whereabouts.

At MV Tanjung apartment, he mentioned there were many indecent acts by the settlers or the rented dwellers particularly at night. His guards always saw the incidents in the cars parked there. As an example, once they saw a Negro’s dick was sucked by a Chinese Lady. But the guard could not do anything because might revenge by the robust African.

In Canada he said, although most women wearing short and could see the tits, the customers could not touch, only could see. If tried, there was bouncer to throw them out of the café or pubs spontaneously.

I asked his card, but he forgot to bring with him. He said, when meet again later he would give me. We then exchanged phone numbers, if to communicate later.

Suddenly he mentioned to embrace Islam as his eldest did.

I agreed to his wishes and encouraged him to do so. Because the teachings of Guru Nanak and Islam more or less were same except on certain paramount principles. I said that compared to other religions, there many numerous Islamic kitabs and books could be referred to.

End.
