Khir Toyo Cakap Xserupa Bikin

Barulah gentleman!

Selepas kondem Selcat, beliau buat pula cadangan agar semua pemimpin parti Ameno dibenarkan pegang jawatan maksimum selama dua penggal saja.

Naik cepat, tersungkur cepatlah sayang ooii.

Tengok Khalid Ibrahim slow and steady, and now at the top heading the only developed state in Malaysia!

Almost all their houses like mahligai kalau tak pun equivalent to mini istana.

PERANG BEKOR 1946 (?)

Oleh: Cicit Hj Mohamad Perak

The incident occurred just after the Japanese were surrendered of the Second World War 1941-1945 ended. The actual year could not be furnished, because this incident was told by my late mother on one or two occasions only to me when I was around age of eight years.

There was a Chinese man who always went to Kampung Bekor buying and selling chickens. One morning he met my late grandfather, Kulop Hasnan. He reminded my grandfather to leave the village because the Chinese, most of them were MCP’s members in Manong were going to attack the village that night. At that time my grandfather was so weak because of having asthma.

My grandfather believed that. For the sake of the family, he brought my grandmother, untie, mother and uncle to run and stay deep in the jungle that night. Some relatives did not believed of what the friendly Chinese man had said. That night Kg Bekor was burnt, attacked aggressively and inhumanly by the Chinese who came from Manong. Almost all the Bekor folks died during the attack. Corpses were everywhere. One or two of my relatives who were in pregnant also been killed mercilessly.

My second uncle Mat Sibi’s house was put kerosene on the verandah and set fire by the Chinese. However, the fire could only burn the wood where the kerosene was sprayed on. The house and the verandah still could be seen today. The house is now inhabited by my second auntie who also I called Mak Yam, Mat Sibi’s sister.

The only descendants able to live till today were the people who able to run deep into the jungle that night included my grandfather’s family who had run earlier. If my grandfather did not adhered to the friendly Chinese man’s warning, myself would not be in the world today.

Some of the victims that still alive today, they are such as Mak Yam Mat Sibi, and few second unties of mine. To historian could collect or investigate this true story of the incident from them. Later my grandfather’s family floating downstream of the Perak River by using a ‘rakit’ until reached the left Perak River’s bank at Kampung Paloh, Layang-layang Kiri, Parit, Perak.

They then stayed there until my grandfather’s death. My grandmother died in 1978 at Bukit Kuantan, Pahang when followed my uncle as ‘Peneroka Felda’ there. Alhamdulillah, I am able retain a small plot of land inherited from my late mother near the corner to enter the ‘Logi Bekalan Air Dindings’.

TWO DAYS CELEBRATING AIDILFITRI AT MY VILLAGE IN PARIT

We reached Kg Tengah Parit sharp at 7.00 am on 21st September 2009. Already in the house were my eldest sister and children, youngest sister and children, and second younger brother, still a bachelor. I saw around the house all were in order and nicely been cleaned after a year been left unattended. I felt happy, at least they were knowledgeable and responsible what they should do for the premises maintenance, and not solely depends on me all the time.

At about 10.30 am I went to Wan Timah’s, wife of the Late Pak Idris Pandak Haji accompanied by my second and youngest daughters, Zulaikha and Zuyyin. As practice previously, first we had to visit the ‘Kubur’ of my Late Father and Mother and other relatives who had already passed away. This time we did not go because of time constraint, and we just had visited the kubur few months back during the wedding of my youngest brother, Ahmad Faisal.

I sympathized with Wan Timah 74 years old who just lost his eldest son, Mohd Isa at the age of 56. A year ago, Isa’s wife, Intan passed away. Both of them died due to mysterious sickness.

Then I proceeded to go to Pakcik Jamal Nasir House. He was a former district footballer. When he was a bachelor he liked to draw portraits and admired Elvis Presley very much. After married, he concentrated more as a house builder. His eldest son died due to accident about 4 years ago, once a close friend of my second youngest brother.

I have lost many people in my kampung who had closed relationship with (when I was young and migrated at the of 19 of going to school, working, and attended universities outside the district and state) the late Pakcik Idris Pandak Haji, Pak Abd Samad (former Imam of Masjid Parit for several years), Pak Said, Pak Usup, Pak Nor, Wan Ah Intan, Wan Ah Cikgu (former UMNO Wanita henchwoman), Cikgu Sham, Kak Munah, and few others.

Still fresh in memory during school days in SMIS Parit. I was quite shy to girls. I had a lot of girls who admired me because at school I was one of the active students in sports also societies and held many posts as President, Chairman, and School and House Captain. I was a good debater and orator, too. I received a lot of ‘Cinta Monyet’ letters from some of the girls even from form one!

The following day, my wife, five of my children and myself traveled through Bota Kanan made u-turn and went straight to ‘berhariraya’ at Kg Paloh (where I was born), to meet Wan Besah, the late wife of Pakcik Jaafar, cousin to my late mother. At first she was not at home, except her daughter-in-law, a Kelantanese. Still fresh in our memory, we had tried several times to meet Wan Besah still unsuccessful. Her daughter–in-law told me that she was at the ‘rumah orang kenduri naik buaian anak’ about 100 meters southwards.

Without further thought, I went to the kenduri’s house. I was greeted by the owner of the house Ahmad Faisal Abdullah Sani. I knew he was related to me through his late father. If not mistaken his late father was a first cousin to my Late Grandfather, Kulop Hasnan. His late father was one of the two witnesses to my mother’s wedding with my father. But he seemed did not bother much of that/our relationship. However, he invited me then to have a drink.

He then met Wan Besah to tell her that I wanted to meet her. Later Wan Besah left the house with her friend, Wan Munah (the Late Pakcik Lee’s wife). Wan Besah told me; luckily I came to fetch her, because she had already tried to leave the ‘kenduri’ earlier but no appropriate reason to give to the inviter of the kenduri. I told her the way Ahmad Faisal treated me.

She told me that he just was liked that depended on his mood, sometime okay, sometime not. I was further told that, at the age of nearly fifty, the baby was Ahmad faisal’s first child! I understood and later pardoned him. Yeah, certain people are just like that too, not only him, but unconsciously sometime I have done the same. Because might be to so many things to be remembered and done at the same time. Hahaha, there I am.

We were at Wan Besah’s house for almost one and the half hours. Before left, she thanked us very much of visiting her and family. Once we left, she already planned and prepared to go to Sitiawan to visit her eldest son, Ramli.

Then we went to my cousin, Salmah Moin’s house about 200 meters still on the same road northwards. Met her husband, children, and grandsons. At age of 54, she was already having ‘sakit lutut’ causes her could not walk properly.

An hour later we went to my only untie still left in this world, Mak We Fatimah the mother to Salmah Moin. She was the eldest sister of my late mother.

Later, I was able to compromise with Mak We amicably about the land that she had promised to handover to my late mother about thirty years ago by an appropriate/little sum of money gratuity/compensation. Now I am the new owner of my late mother’s share by able to getting consensus from all my brothers and sisters. Mak We and myself hope this could be solved soon.

Still fresh in my mind, when I was a school children, during weekend I liked cycling to various places such as Bota Kanan, Batu Gajah, Beruas, Lumut, and once to Kuala Kangsar. I took four hours cycling to Kuala Kangsar in 1974 just to see an exhibition held at SMK Clifford there. I could not join the school bus trip at that time because I did not have enough money. So, all my friends went by bus, while myself was cycling to go there.

On Wednesday (23.09.2009), I intended to go to Bekor and Semat in southern of Kuala Kangsar, at the right Perak River’s bank where many my relatives live. However being cancelled later by myself of time constraint. ‘Perang Bekor’ was never recorded in the Perak/Malaysian History. Because in order to safeguard the national interest! How tolerance the Malays are! There, few of the victims still alive, but nobody seems interested to explore and write the true history of Perak/Malaysia.

Brief Accounts of My self

I am a man who can stand on my own. I do no need a friend to accompany me during lunch time, where most people could not do, but I could. I can study alone to get my degrees, whom most students could not do. But do not mistake me as an individualistic. I may be socialize too, but depend on the situation.

I have learnt almost everything encompasses business and legal; laws, political science, accounting, statistics, economics, marketing, human resource, banking, Insurance, Arabic Language, and too numerous to mention here. I am a man who dares to meet any body even the King. But I dislike/avoid meeting or dealing with people who think they are very smart and trying every ways searching of my weaknesses without looking at their own stupidity.

I know few of my friends have become somebody right now; although my qualifications are higher than them. However, Allah is the Great; he will give us something not everything. Even my job rank is still at ordinary, and being sabotaged to go for the higher level, Insha’Allah few months from now I will be getting my doctorate. And from there I will plan further for my next future. If I got title Dr, nobody can withdraw it, unless by Allah acts. If I were given the title of Dato' or whatever ‘stars’ or honorary medals, any time the award giver will take it back from me, if I against any of its terms and conditions as happened to few cases previously.

Parit (Paris): A Little Tourist Spot

Parit Town is named after a man-made river near the Perak Tengah Police Station. Prior to that Parit Town was known as Pekan Belanja Kanan. Now, Parit is more or less like a idle town if compared about 40 years ago, where almost everything were there, the cinema, restaurants, textiles shops, etc.

When the cinema was there, I never missed to watch P. Ramlee’s and his closed friends’ films such as Labu Labi, Madu Tiga, Aksi Kuching, Raja Bersiong, Lampong Karam, Do-Re-Mi, Pontianak, Orang Minyak, and other popular Hindustanis’ films such as Love In Tokyo, An Evening in Paris, Waqt, and too many to be mentioned.

There were public buses that travelled from Kg Gajah to Parit, also from Teluk Sena. Still in operation are buses from company known as General that travels from Ipoh to Beruas which Parit is in the midst. This bus company has already in operation when I was not yet born!

For those who intend to relax, could come to Parit. It is now as a tourist spot. Some local drama makers also have done several shootings there, such as Wayang Tinggi Production, and the Grand Brilliant, especially around area of Pulau Cempaka Sari, near Hotel Malaysia. We can walk through a new bridge that connects Pekan Parit to Kg Belanja to the other side.

Power Crazy in Malaysia

After 10 terms as president, he is still wanted to be the president of MIC for the 11th term. If Sotianathan did not contest, Subramaniam would win (?). So what Samy Vellu to proud of? As Napoleon Bonaparte had said, "you can bluff certain people at certain time, and all the people at certain time, but you cannot bluff all the people all the time."

Why this so? Because if lost power, he is nobody. No one will listen and attend to him wherever and whenever. I have read an article on the Late of Tun Dr Ismail written by his son. One time he was not a minister anymore. No body came close to him in any function. Those who closed with him previously had kept distant.

However, when he was chosen back in the cabinet by the Late Tun Razak as the Deputy Prime Minister, those who kept distant then came close back to him. And what did he say? “Sorry, better keep distant from me, you all are hypocrites.”

In the Federal Government now, they are a lot of polishers. If not they will be in trouble politically, and economically. Ong Tee Keat once my friend has been trapped. He is trying to be cleaned, but he has many enemies around including those who are closed to him. More or less, I agreed the way he is handling his scandalized deputy. Choi Soi Lek should not be in his team. As Dr M said, Samy Vellu is a liability to BN, so also Choi. One of the reasons MCA lost heavily in the last election, Choi was one of the factors.

And we can see that the post of PM seems to become a family’s inheritance. Seems that in Malaysia there is no one can become the PM unless from the sons of the previous PMs. All these are nepotism! To the weak-hearted people, they will say, “let the leaders do whatever and to become what, as long as they do not disturb our daily life so much are still okay.”

I have seen a lot of people who lost power, they are then are nothing. For example, I have seen Datuk Richard Ho; an MCA ex-deputy president was walking alone along Jalan Tun Perak, nobody intended to have a glance at him at all. Yeah, that is Malaysian way of life and appreciation. The culture inculcates, the veterans are no more being respected. What the top leaders now respect ‘kononnya’, are the KPIs!

Khir Toyo rose up very fast. At the age of 35 had become the MB of Selangor. During his tenure he looked down at all his seniors, one by giving a broom as a performance token to one District Council President.

Now, Khir Toyo is living in disgrace. His Bali Mansion has been questioned by many quarters, and when completed he still intend to stay there? If so, does he has face? Lately, his wife faced ‘keguguran’ due to stress the family is facing, as I read in one local magazine.

We hope the Federal government will be changed soon to new hands who are really working for the people and not in slogans only. The majority of people day by day deteriorating economically, but the top leaders becoming richer and richer.

One CEO has declared that he had reduced his perks for year 2008 from RM9 million in the previous year to RM5 million. What’s the hack? To me, if you did not get such perks you are still okay! Top people like you salaries are nothing. And you are one of the riches Malaysian? The different of RM4 million is nothing with you but to people like us? If I were you I, I also can do, ‘waima’ may be better! Just give me the power mileage!

In the 13th General Election, we expect the Malaysians to elect really leaders who work for the ‘rakyat’ and not the leaders who only enrich their pockets and cronies. BN really naïve if they still to nominate Isa Samad as the candidate in the next Bagan Pinang’s election. If he was chosen, we could say that BN is really corrupt in every facet. Dr M has also said the same.

SELAMAT HARIRAYA AIDILFITRI 1430 HIJRAH

KPI (CPI)

What KPI’s? Even you have done the jobs triumphantly, if your boss dislikes you, dislikes seeing your face, and refuse to recognize your work, your KPI would never becomes good. But, if you know how to jerk, polish them, and bribe them (any means), then your KPI will be rocketted tremendously! Yeah, Malaysia way of life!

KPI without human touches, for me are useless and harmful in the long run to any organizations. To give great perks, we have to evaluate the worker for quite sometime, not in a short time. And our judgment and evaluation must be credible and unquestionable integrity.

If to motivate people, give something first to him for him to rehabilitate. For example, a beggar comes to our house request for some food. Do not ask him to do any work first at your house (if intend to manipulate). Give him some food first as energy, let him has a short rest. Then only give him the relevant job which he could do appropriately. And then the pay must be given before his sweats dried as stressed by Prophet Muhammad saw.

In some organizations, you are fruitful if you able to produce whatever the organization wants. But when you become older and the physical power starts to decrease, the organization will start to get rid of you. Again, the Malaysian culture that really never respect and appreciate the seniors.

Unlike the Japanese the longer you are in the organizations, better perks you will get. Because what they want from the veterans more are the experience and knowledge that the juniors are lacking of. Usually, the seniors could settle an issue shortly and efficiently, compared to juniors who thought that they are far better than the seniors.

The Blue Ocean Strategy

What are against the odds? Seem you no more a human being! What are cultures who denied the acts of God? Social obligations in hoping to manipulate more from the workers and the public? You will not help the people sincerely if you are expecting to get more from the people than what you give.

Then, you are only want constructive criticisms? If all are constructive, you will never getting the truths. Be liked the Caliph of Umar al-Khattab, he preferred to accept all types of criticisms in order to be better. Prophet Muhammad had said also that if his daughter Fatimah found guilty of stealing, her hand also would be chopped, and that startled all his friends, who hope that should not happen.

The Blue Ocean Strategy books now are being sold at discounts. We, may get at it at any bookshop along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman Kuala Lumpur. A great knowledgeable book will never be sold on discount unless unpopular.

Ashamed of Being Called a Malay or Bumiputera in Malaysia

Most educated Malays nowadays ashamed of being called a Malay or Bumiputera. Particularly among the Malay leaders in the federal ruling party. To them, Malay shows a lazy people and have "tidak apa attitude". Poor thing, the Malay leaders themselves believe that and consider the non-Malays are more better in every fields.

The word Bumiputera has been deleted from several business entities that belonged to the Malays, themselves. They have forgotten that when choosing two astronauts, two Malays appeared to be on top of the list. That they also forget that the MAS CEO is also a Bumiputera who has able to bring MAS to be a profitable GLC.

Bank Islam in order to be popular to the non-Malays has changed its color from green, which is the Islamic color, to other blurred colors. That migth attract only few more non-Muslims to be the customers, but the strategy causes most Malay and Islam people feel frustrated and more of them start to avoid to deal with the Islamic bank!

The non-Malays never throw their racial entities, such as the OCBC (Overseas Chinese Banking Corp), but the Malay leaders do. The Malay leaders have thrown everything that related to Malay or Bumiputera names, and yet they who claimed as the ultra Malay leaders or Malay fighters.

The Malays have become slaves in their own land, the Malay Peninsular. They lost everything day to day politically, economically, and socially. The Malay leaders themselves who contribute most Malays suffer and going backwards. The Malays are no more the masters of this country. All the Malays should aware of this.

Who are going to fight for the Malays future, fate, and welfare? Do other races will help? The Malays have to help themseves and forget that the other races will help the Malays! Could any of us cite here at least one area that the other races have helped the Malays? A Malay forever will not be able to become the Chief Minister of Penang.

The Malays have sacrificed a lot.... too numerous, ashamed, too be mentioned here.

Let us forecast few years from now, where the Malays will be? The 30% economic target will not be achieved as long as most of the Malay leaders are still selfish, lying the Malays "bersandiwara", corrupted, favoritism, and opportunists.

Almost all the members and leaders in the federal ruling Malay party are yes men. "Jaga periuk nasi sendiri". The future of the Malays? Let is forgone with the time.

Before too late, by praying to Allah swt the Almighty God, hope soon they will be leaders in this country who can fight that the Malays will be the truly masters and not slaves in this country again, not the betrayers to their own race, country and religion.

To the non-Malays, they should not be worried because they will be better taken care of and look after if under the rule of the truly Malay and Islamic leaders. This country will be in chaotic if controlled at the top level by other races or religious leaders.

This posit is not to be considered as racist because they quite a number of non-Malays especially the educated Malaysian Chinese who are agreed with this opine. To conclude, it is an obvious and transparent fact that every Malaysian should aware and think of discreetly.
