An Act of the Great Leader

After won a war, Abu Hurairah r.a. felt too thirsty. To pacify his thirsty stomach he put it on the earth but could not stand long. Then came over Saiyidina Abu Bakar, and Abu Hurairah asked him how to overcome his thirsty. Abu Bakar did not reply and went away. Then came over Saiyidina Umar, the same happened. Lastly came across Rasulullah s.aw. Abu Hurairah then asked him the same question.

Muhammad ordered to follow him. He followed Muhammad and reached a place where Muhammad always met his followers. There, they found a big buckle full of milk. Muhammad asked Abu Hurairah to call the laymen who always fought for the path of Allah. Muhammad asked Abu Hurairah to pour a cup of milk to each of them.

When finished served them all, Muhammad said then they were two only left who did not drink the milk. Muhammad said, “Ya, Abu Hurairah now it is your turn to have the drink.” Abu Hurairah drank the milk until satisfied. Muhammad then said, “Is there any left?” Abu Hurairah said yes.

Muhammad then drank the balance left by Abu Hurairah.

The morale of the story?

It was an act of the great leader. The great leader would satisfy his followers first than himself. Not to most leaders today who are only to satisfy themselves first then only the followers.
